In the summertime the Promenade along the water on Islands Brygge changes from an area that is mostly used for walking dogs and lonely strolls into a merry mess of towels and sunscreen. The swimmingpool in the harbour has become a major succes since it opened a few years back. Always with experienced life guards on duty, even landlubbers can enjoy a swim in the water that is said to be as clean as the sea around Sealand. If you're more the sunbathing type, Islands Brygge gives you the opportunity as well on the many lawns along the water, and the cafes offer everything from homemade icecream to tortillasandwiches.
