New, modern, performance and contemporary. It's all about modern dancing. Since 1993 it's been possible to experience all the different styles under one roof. This happened as Dansescenen (“The Dancing Scene”) moved into the old buildings on Øster Fælled Torv, and founded a house where already established Danish dance ensembles as well as loads of foreign dance theatres could perform their shows.
Dansescenen has 20- 30 productions a year, and hereby stands as an active part of the city's cultural life, as well as it is one of the busiest dance theatres in Denmark.
The season runs from the beginning of August until the end of June.
