The collections in The National Museum consists of such curiosities as The Sun Chariot and copies of Danish Golden Horns. It's impossible to get through the entire museum in one day and is reccommended to chose only one department. The museum has been divided into the following parts: Prehistoric Denmark (13,000 b.c – 1,050 a.c), Danish Middle Ages and Renaissance, Newer time (1600 – 2000), Denmark in the 18th century, The Royal Coin and Medal Collection, The Antique Collection, Etnographical Collection and finally The Children's Museum. The collection of eskimoic treasures are one of the largest in the world!
